Among his experiences with handling intellectual property matters, Daniel has prepared and prosecuted patent applications, prepared non infringement opinions, and conducted patentability searches for bio technical and medical device technologies. In addition, Daniel has conducted patent searches, and written provisional applications for mechanical and computer implemented technologies. He has also registered trademarks, conducted trademark searches, and written cease and desist letters for both trademark and patent matters.
Daniel has written articles for IP Watchdog, been interviewed by CJ DeGuara, a sales and marketing strategist, and had an article published by The North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology.
During law school, Daniel was an intern with GlaxoSmithKline, North Carolina State University’s Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (ORIED), and Quintiles. Additionally, he was a staff member of the University of North Carolina Journal of International Law and Regulation where he wrote a blog post on America’s Treatment of Famous Marks.
During graduate school, Daniel studied the enzyme kinetics of TREX2 a 3′ to 5′ DNA exonuclease.
